Last week Linkedin published this interesting inforgraphic displaying the highs and lows of the statistics found in the professional network. It is always interesting to find out that there is a professional Martini whisperer (?) somewhere offering their skills for a reasonable price. Some other interesting facts are that the country with the most growth is Brazil, with a staggering 478% growth and that 100 million business cards are a hell of a lot taller than Mount Everest!
"This isn’t just a big milestone for us — it’s also an important one for all of you, our members, who’ve helped build the LinkedIn network. We’re most inspired that by connecting talent with opportunity at massive scale, we’re changing people’s lives in meaningful and sustainable ways." exaplained Jeff Weiner on Linkedin Blog.
To further increase the engagement around this monumental milestone Linkedin also launched a dedicated 100 Million Members page (pictured below) where users can upload their Linkedin stories to share with other members.
With Linkedin reaching over 100 Million users will it see the demise of the paper Resumé? Will the amount of steps between connections be a contributing factor in getting the right job? Let us know your thoughts and predictions in the comments section below...
