Facebook's new feature allows you to approve tagged photos or posts before they appear in your news feed or your wall. Out of all of the new privacy settings, this is the one feature that you really must turn on as soon as it becomes available to you.

Twitter has started putting promoted tweets in users’ timelines this summer, but was careful to note that you would only see them if you followed the brand. It was revealed this week that everyone would start to see promoted tweets in their timeline, regardless of how they’re accessing Twitter

Facebook begins autogrouping friends

 

 

Facebook is beginning to rolling out “Smart Lists” to selected users which, as the name implies, intelligently groups certain obvious groups of friends into pre-packaged lists. This could be Facebook's response to the Google+ circles.

Social marketing service Wildfire has launched a Facebook App focused on creating better content for Facebook’s Sponsored Stories. Sponsored stories allow brands to turn user activity such as checkins, wall posts and likes into a small advertisement that appears to the right of the newsfeed.
